Let's not talk about the quality of these sources, for now, nor about the dead links in the list. I checked these sources for contemporary history of China, such as the "Encyclopedia of World History"

, but couldn't find the bloated figure of 49 - 78 million.
Seems that the author's research is mainly based on information from the internet, which is not the first choice for a serious research.
