If Dubai needs so much land for growing food etc, then why are they spending so much money and land building mega buildings and private resorts for the tich? Because of this growth Dubai is being flooded with rich investors that are becomeing permanent residents.
The Bush family bought big parcels and Halliburton is moving it head office to Dubai...
