I think part of Russia's pull out agreement had to do with a guarantee that Israel would not be allowed to attack from Georgia.

Another point...Israel had to distance itself from the US on this one because of the Russian threat to go public with information confiscated in Georgia from a couple of CIA agents (taped to their backs) regarding the Iran attack and other dirty laundry. Putin told Bush that if Russian demands are not met by Sept 21st then the info would be leaked. This information will severely hurt the Israeli economy and reputation. Bush is not backing down as of yet which has got the Israeli's concerned. If the information is leaked we will see people choose sides very quickly and publicly. Keep an eye out from Sept 21 through the 27th regarding this matter.
