I'm looking forward to that GregorA - might help me shed some light on my own white-robed-man puzzle
TimeIsShort - my influences are many - way too many to list

I appear to have been born with a fascination for 'God'

My tolerant - if bemused - parents became used to waving me goodbye as I set off to yet another Sunday school, or hijack of the local vicar/priest/rabbi

I was too young to understand that what I was looking for was not religion but spirituality. It's an easy mistake to make when you're six years old
After bouncing about from one religion to another, I studied psychology at University where I came across Abraham Maslow and 'self-actualisation'. Some years later, attempting to sign up for a course in neuropsychology, I somehow ticked the wrong box and found myself signed up for a broad-based, first year science degree course. I now think that this was no accident - discovering science was also a spiritual experience.
I've found food for thought in Kahlil Gibran's ' The Prophet' and was fascinated by Gregg Braden - especially the phantom DNA experiments.
I find my best teachers are the people I meet. Most of them can teach me something I didn't know before - often about myself

I think all that is necessary is to be aware of the possibilities for personal growth which exist in our everyday encounters with others. Even the ones who may hurt you offer an opportunity to learn
I hope I've made sense here. It's 3.30am in the UK and having been awake for 22hrs, I'm not even sure I know my own name
