One night a very long time ago when my sister and I were still kids, we were in bed goofing around as usual, not going to sleep. We were pretending we were very scared of the dark. Our parents were still downstairs. My brother was no longer living in our house, he was off to the army, and one of us said out loud, "we're scared of the dark. Somebody turn on a light!"
Guess what happened next? You guessed it! the light in our parents' room, on my dad's lampstand, suddenly turned on!
We never got under the bed covers so fast in our lives!
And then it turned itself off again just like that!
