This is a good wake up call, but I think it is a little on the fear mongering side of things. First of all there is enough oil in this country to keep things running,(we just have to go get it). Second WE are the government, I know this sounds silly but even if Washington DC falls off the map we can make the nation run just fine and probably better. There is the possibility that food could become scarce so food storage is always a good idea.

So what if the money is no good. If money goes out of style and we all learn to barter for our goods we could do it. Your great grand parents had nothing and they survived. If we have no money and no jobs trust me mexico will want nothing to do with us, and I like Canadians. There are other ways of doing things, and buying guns and living in fear is not part of it.

Will you shoot someone just because they are hungery?
This is an opportunity to show the fear mongers how wrong they were not to trust the people. I am all for preparedness, but let's keep our heads about us.

Remember food growes from seeds, nobody can eat gold or bullets. (I know hunting is an option) but if a golden age of man is coming then let's prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
