if I ever met any entity I would always offer it love first - welcome, and unconditional love. Notwithstanding its appearance may be unconventional, and I may certainly be afraid, but in the big scheme of our vast lives and consciousness, I should not be afraid, just welcoming the new, and learning, and moving on.
