Mother nature will always find a way to protect herself.
As populations get too large in the animal kingdom, either the food runs out or a disease will wipe out whole populations, I really don't think these diseases are getting passed through star gates as an experiment.
It happens with fish, birds, reptiles mammals, in fact all living amimals on the planet are exposed to pathegens constantly.
That is not to say that there is not an element who are not creating bio weapons, on the contrary, I believe they are working on them constantly, but lets not get caught up in conspiracies just because someone gets a sniffle,
Remember the native American was almost wiped out by the epidemic diseases brought from europe which they had no exposure to and therefore no immunity to it.
Bio weapons are one way to reduce populations along with civil unrest, starvation, mass poisonings from water supplies, you can guarantee that what ever they have planned it will give the powers that be untold negative energy.
