I like to believe in one supreme god, it`s so much simpler that way.
disturbing is this though:
while the "bible" still spoke for a long time of "gods", this could be found in the "asaph-psalms" and "the books of moses"; the persian prophet zarathustra made the one god religion take shape with "ahura mazda" as "the god".
interestingly enough, the bible speaks of only one god "jahwe", from "deutero.-jesaja" and onward..(sadly, this cannot be found in the modern bible translations it has all been corrected to "one god").( it`s outrageous that a certain church decides over what the christian believer should know about the bible and what not.)
the original bible text doesn`t just belong to one church. it belongs to the whole human race (christians).
