Its the kind of movie where you tell someone to watch it, and they either come back and tell you it was awesome, confusing but awesome, or totally confusing. In college, I found it was a good gauge of getting an initial reading on how open minded someone was.

I was originally turned on to the movie by this girl I dated the summer before college. She was really into this movie and always put it on when I came over, suffice to say we never actually watched it.

Later I actually watched the whole movie and I thought it could be thought-provoking, in a Hollywood sort of way. I just found myself wanting to distance myself from it when I saw all these whiny emo-kids latching on to it as the greatest thing of all time. I always just hoped that they were actually getting the point of the movie, instead of the whole emo aspect.

This is one of the few movies that I actually own today, I still recommend it to anyone!
