Here in Phoenix, AZ, the warm temps are still lingering. We had a cold snap the past weekend, but it's back to 90's for awhile. Having lived here 20 years, the seasons the past couple years do seem different. The spring is cooler longer, but then the fall is warmer longer.
I've noticed the stores have fewer people, except the other 'senior' day (10% off) at the grocery store, was busier than ever before (not being a senior, I didn't know what was going on at first). A neighbor who works for the city said they're going to lay off many people due to major budget cuts. Her position, thankfully, is fairly safe. Our house taxes still went up tho.
I do get out of the city on a regular basis, which helps my sanity. Relatives in a rural area have been preparing for this for several years. I joked about them at first, but soon saw their wisdom. I would rather be with them right now, but have things to do here for a little while longer.
