It is a paid site but the headlines are there...

Scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on Nov. 13, the ShakeOut is the largest earthquake drill ever coordinated in U.S. history. The USGS, California Geological Survey, Southern California Earthquake Center and over 200 other partners in government, academia, emergency response, and industry will participate in the drill to gain specific knowledge of exactly how much disruption a large earthquake would cause in Southern California.

Drill???

Erm, does it not make sense? Let`s face it one day, and, it may be soon, the western seaboard of the states will suffer a massive quake. Geologists have been saying this for years. For heavens sake are you not aware of this?. I was taught this in the UK 20 years ago, the teacher said "not in my lifetime, but maybe in yours, the western coast of the U.S.A. will suffer, a catastrophic earthquake". What makes me laugh, is that in California you have all these evangelical non smokers and healthy faddists. Yet, your sitting on a huge timebomb. Bigger than 20 cigarettes a day!!.
