It's true that the USPD use little colored stckers to tell post-persons things like mail forwarding or stop mail. I was out of country this summer and was having my mail forwarded. When I returned, there was a little blue sticker on outside of my mailbox. When I put in a stop order to have normal mail delivery resumed, the blue sticker disappeared. This is probably the only reason some of you will find such things on your mail and/or paper boxes...codes for mail/paper delivery people is all.
