Default Re: Regarding TV

Hi burgundia,

I understand what you mean. I think that once you begin to work on your spiritual side, the profanic side of life seems extremely lacklustre. I tend to also not like meaningless chit-chat, I don't really see the point, I feel as if I'm wasting my time and missing out on something 'bigger'. Does that make sense to you? It's not that I would say to somebody that I don't want to listen about their aunt Ethels' gout, it's just that I wouldn't really take it on board as such.

I think also as we develop as people, our character, we mature and so those 'even funny' programmes are not so funny anymore, especially if we've been seeing a lot of them. I used to like to watch Friends, for example, but I don't laugh so much anymore, am I turning into that miserable man who lived on the next floor down?

I shouldn't worry about you lack of enthusiasm for the telly, the internet is far more informative and diverse, and I'm sure that your spirit, if engineered correctly, will thank you for it.

Best regards,

Steve

It's just that watching TV is such a waste of time for me, even if I have nothing better to do. I prefer to sit or lie down and think than watch TV. I don't know how long this state is going to last...
