Re: Regarding TV
Hey All!
We still have the tv but I find that now we only watch the weather, pre-recorded things we're interested in seeing or DVD. The commercials are beyond annoying and the news is garbage. It's like watching a documentary of an ancient culture, a little amusing and pitiful because they seem so far behind. And any news involving the gov't usually just ticks me off...I have no use for liars and they can't do anything else. I find the most relevant and reliable news on-line.
I do find it interesting that some of the new shows have sooo much 'in your face' clues/hints in them. I've been feeling since the '80s that there was some kind of desensitization going on, first only in the movies, now it's in 'prime-time' (?????) It's either desensitization for the 'unaware' or discrediting for those who are aware, i.e. '...those silly people watch too much tv...' maybe a little of both.
Gratitude, Darlings!
