Uhm and what if there isn't a geographic pole shift? Only a collapse of money system, food/fuel shortages, breakdown of government services, major wars, and so on. I'm preparing for that.
I think it extremely unlikely there will be a massive shift of the physical Earth on the scale you describe. What could possibly cause that? If there were such a geographic shift of the scale you have in mind, all the oceans, rivers would move, mountains would tumble and all animals, humans and plants would be wiped out.
Frankly all you have done is hijack a perfectly reasonable thread about things to consider when selecting safe rural areas. Moments like this I really wonder why I even bother to post on this forum.
