I just found the following site - it has some useful information about water procurement in the wild. Granted, the ideal will be locate on a source of freshwater, or have local control of communal water distribution system (as is the case for Peer), but some of this might be useful for folks on the go, or those who can't settle themselves near water.
I apologize in advance - the pop-up ads on this cite are a pisser, but there is some good info on this site. I particularly like the fact that the authors deal with the psychological ramifications of survival - something that should be considered by all.
