I think the internal tug-of-war (like tone3 mentioned) is something many people are going to have to deal with, and yes, I believe it'll drive some people mad. Whether you're holding the puppets' strings on a global scale, or living the life with expensive cars and so on, the ego is attached to all of that - and we're heading for an ego-less existence. Talk about separation anxiety! That's why I feel its necessary to get yourself ready for that surge. Reconnect. Meditate. Tear down the walls that led you to believe that you can't.
