Default Re: Scotland and 8 other European countries to conduct war games Oct 6 - Oct 16

AVERAGE JOE's POST STATED

A joint military operation between Scotland and the UK?

Scotland is PART of the UK and is not able to have a joint military operation with the UK!.....it does not have its own military forces. Neither does England, neither does Wales. The British Forces represent every country which is part of the UK.

Whoever said "Scotland is having a planned joint military exercise with the UK" (was it Deagle or Wilcock?) has got simple basic facts wrong and loses credibility.

haha...c'mon we all know that our set up on these little islands is a little unusual compared to the rest of the world so dont lets get all steamed up just becasue someone doesnt get it right away!! why should they!

Especially on a live interview with loads of travelling etc going on...we can all sit here and nit pick until the preverbial cows come home OR the sh#t makes contact with the fan!!

The fact is we know what was meant....there are exercises specifically in Scotland AND possibly ELSEWHERE IN BRITAIN....for example....I live near THETFORD FOREST....a huge area of that is permanatly closed off and exercises carried out - we dont EXACTLY know WHEN - but they go on....I've seen them!

There has obviously been info recently recieved that these are going on on a larger scale than is usual....THATS the point!

Quite possibly not JUST in Scotland....! It's up to us to keep an eye out in our local areas where we know exercises are carried out to see if there is unusual activity and report back onto this forum.

Lets just hope they dont start doing exercises on the streets of cities - that would be a worry....

C'mon - give me a rundown on the states in the US and their border history, names etc for that matter how about Canada??

Name all the terrorties in Austrailia?!!!

And those are the WELL KNOWN places to us in whatever part of Britain we call home....name the nations and their political set up in the pacific islands for example?! - We'd be here till the sh't DID make contact with the fan!! What exercises are being carried out in the pacific I wonder??

Then what use is the nit pickin!....! c'mon!

Tell me that Brittany in France - the most Celtic place in the world apart from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Cornwall, Tell me you know that Brittany (Bretagne) was ony taken BY FORCE by Napolean in the 1860's!!! Now they've got a more recent right to independence that Ireland, Wales, Scotaland , Cornwall (and possibly Northern Spain) put together!!

Point made I hope???!

I think a trip abroad maybe good for some people!!

If you want to get REALLY nit picky lets get it all out and over with.

Average Joe states that England Scotland etc are Countries WELL England, Scotland and Wales are NOT Countries! England is a NATION, Scotland is a NATION, Wales is a PRINCIPALITY!

The United Kingdom comprises of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, The Isle of Man and the Channel Isles (Crown Dependenies). The Scilly Isles are part of Cornwall.

So know that Britain (or Great Britian if you wish) comprises of England, Scotland and Wales therefore BRITAIN is a Soverign Country WITHIN the United Kingdom.

The BRITISH ISLES is the generic name for the whole Archpeliogo of Islands INCLUDING the Republic of Ireland which has NOTHING to do with the United Kingdom OR Britain!

Therefore - THE BRITISH ISLES is purley a Geographical term!

Britain or if you like GREAT BRITAIN has nothing to do with the Channel Islands OR the the Isle of Man!

CLEAR (as mud, yes?)

How many people who call themselves Britsh know all that I wonder, huh???

I am sure there is someone else who can be a lot more accurate and give all the historical reasoning behind it all....if they really thought it was needed...

I thank you good sirs. WORD! PEACE! "The revolution will not be televised..."
