Explain to me. How are they going to avoid being worshiped when it is human nature to look for external objects to attach hopes and fears to? It's unfortunately not their choice whether we worship them or not. It is very naive to assume mankind will just treat them as equals. After all, they ARE Gods to many of our oldest definitions of what Gods are...
The first few books in the bible ARE about them. Are you seriously going to tell me there is no risk that we will worship them? Because we certainly did in the past.
