I've read the "Handbook" 3 times. I went slow and practiced setting intent as I went through it the first time. I think the repitition is form to help remember in a certain way.

I read messages for the ground crew twice. The first time I got mad and wondered why they'd even written it! AND then I re-reread it a couple months later and found a completely different and hopeful message in it. I would suggest re-reading both books and see if you find new information.
