I agree whole heartedly Kahunamahalo, but I suspect that that form of communication is becoming a dying art. I can remember when, in a street of almost 100 homes, there were only about ten that had cars, maybe 20 had the telephone, TV didn't exist and people would, could, and did, walk for miles to go to the pictures or dances. Those were what were referred to as 'the good old days'. A time when it was possible to walk through the darkest streets of a city without fear - a time when it was safe for women or children to talk to strangers. And a time when it was possible in a morning, to walk out of a job that didn't suit you, and start a new one that same afternoon. Yes, those were the good old days - when marriages lasted 'till death do us part.'
