Good to hear everyone appreciated it. You're all doing the math right, but here's how to understand it. The whole number is the number of cycles you've completed. If it's only a whole number, as in 18 divides evenly, then you are on your first day in the cycle. With a simple understanding of fractions you convert it from there. Since the number is 18, anytime it's 2/18, that's 1/9 or .111111 repeating. So .444444 is 4/9, or 8/18, or you're ninth day (as .00 is the first). So .38888 is half way between .4444 (4/9, 8/18) and .3333 (3/9, 6/18), so it's 7/18, or the eigth day. Hope that mindframe of thinking helps you all.
