Electricity (AC) is generally generated putting a conductor through a magnetic field or vice versa. The earth is a giant magnet- figure it out (cause I sure as hell haven't been able to)
As far as 'free energy'- anything commercially available is usually totally misleading or BS (good in theory, bad in practice). The ones that work aren't really 'free' energy and are really impractical. I believe that the technology for 'free energy' exists but highly suppressed, and defiantly it's not something you can buy manufactured or even schematics for commercially.
I'd recommend looking into ways to harness energy (ex. wind, solar, hydro, etc.) these are more practical, have been shown to work. Don't stop the search though!
