The reason for my reply is this: your physics experiment may be right but I am not sure if it reflects the global situation.
The sea levels are 'supposed' to rise because land based ice will melt INTO the ocean.

If I understand the process as being explained lately the ice at the poles is melting from underneath.
1. It clarifies that it's not global warming but the heat is produced by earth itself.
2. If there is global cooling instead it clarifies why there is more precipitation. The cooler the air the more water condenses in that air.

Ad 1: The water under the ice shelves may lubricate them. If big chunks break of they will 'slide' into the water. This gives a real potential for tsunami waves.

Ad 2: If our atmosphere can 'contain' less water vapor it must end up in the oceans.

If there's more fresh water in the ocean the 'conveyor belt' will slow down causing climate changes along it's path.

This is not to contribute to fear but to get physical facts into the right context.
With the right knowledge we are able to respond the right way ....

Cheers
Sure, but all the glaciers in BC and Washington State are growing. antartica is growing. The science on the debate of global warming are not over yet and to me it seems colder! Anyhow, life changes, we all die eventually and the PTw have tried there best to make everything seem hopeless.

As a one time indoor plant enthusiast, I know for certain that most others of my ilk try and get the CO2 to 1400 PPM for optimal plant growth. Does it not sound insane to be pushing for less than 365 which is where we are now? More plant growth= good for humans in my experience. The cost ratio is about $200 a month for a good CO2 injection system. Are 20000 Mainland BC growers all dunces...well that is a question....

Life changes, plants change, planets change everything well...changes. For good or ill depending upon where you are. I'd rather drown than freeze to death in some mountain hermitage. Or get my throat slit in Ecquador by some bandito. All i'm trying to say is that the (dubious) science is still 'out', Planet X was suppsed to come in 2003 and Pole Shifts are untimely events.
i feel comfortable with my 'ground crew' which I had even before I heard the term. **** I just got 10 people or so to haul in 20 cords of good cheap wood for nothing. It's not about the habitat, its' about the inhabitants.
