Excellent thread all.
My opinion has been expressed already in prior posts...though I'll reiterate it.

Fear is part of a spectrum of emotional responses, and it does have an opposite...Love.
If one were truly indifferent...no emotion would hold sway.

I have found that no fear is required when one trusts implicitly...trusts and operates from Love alone.

(Fear of the unknown is learned...imho)
