That's lucky, good for you.
However, it is not reason enough to dismiss the claims as hysteria and nonsense just because they haven't affected you.
Just think about how microwaves actually work and get food to create its own heat. That should create reasonable doubt and prompt further research; which you may still reject but at least it would not be out of hand. Also bear in mind that many of the alleged symptoms and affects are chronic and many wouldn't actually realise that it has or has not affected them because they can't remember how they were before them or haven't experienced being without them for long enough.
As aforementioned, they were prevously banned in Russia - to elaborate, they were not the only one but were one of the last to legalise microwaves and much of the reason was due to trade pressure. As usual there is much research both for and against so the average person is unlikely to find the 'real truth' but in this case doubting a device on its processes/methods may be erring on the side of caution rather than being hysterical.
