Tithing For Spiritual Advancement:
( With respect to all those who believe in "God" differently, whether you believe in Mother Goddess or are an atheistic scientist, etc., I use the term God and He here for ease of use. This is just an idea. Please feel free to read it anyway you feel fit)
God gives you everything in your life, your family and friends, your work, your house, your car, your food and clothes. He gives out of love. Give 10% to God to Keep the Circle of Love continuously flowing in your life. God is everything, so it matters not where you give to. Give to that which you feel represents God the most to you.
There are 10 gifts to give to God. That is 1% per gift to spend. Here is an example:
Biweekly Paycheck = $700 x 10% = $70 / 10 Gifts = $7 per Gift
There are 3 bodies of the soul.
(Mental) Causal Body is represented by fruit: Give $7 worth of fruit
(Emotional) Astral Body represented by flowers: Give $7 worth of flowers
Physical Body is represented by money: Give $7 away
There are 7 chakras (energy centers) in the spine and brain:
Root (Coccyx - Base of Spine) - Earth Element - Give $7 of stones
Sacral (Lower back) - Water Element - Give $7 of water
Solar Plexus (Behind Navel on spine) - Fire Element - Give $7 of candles
Heart (Behind center of chest on spine) - Air - Give $7 of balloons to children
Throat (Behind Adam's Apple on neck) - Ether- Give $7 of Music CD's
Ajna/Third Eye (3" behind middle of eyebrows) - Divine Godform - $7 gold candles
Fontanel - (10 fingers above eyebrows on the top of the skull) - Om - $7 of creative works
The 3 soul body gifts cannot be altered. The 7 chakra gifts can be anything you wish to represent the elements. 10% is minimum to keep the love flowing. There is no maximum.
It would be best if the gifts fulfilled a need, but it is not necessary. Everything is God, need or no need. The key is to open up the life channels by giving back to God with thankfulness and joy remembering that it is God you are giving to whether it be a child, a homeless person, a friend, an animal or plant, or an organization.
Paychecks and Paydays vary person to person, job to job. Just remember to give back to God 10%, because He gave You 100%. If you don't earn paychecks then give 10% of time and labor, remembering to represent the chakras and bodies of the soul.
If everyone in the world gave 10% like this, I believe, poverty, hunger and sorrow, would end rapidly. If you like this idea, pass it on!
