You are right.
There are those who leave the planet in times of cataclysm, either by choice, or force. And while it may seem like the best thing to do, from a karmic point of view, it is like running away from your mother when she is sick, or leaving your family members to deal with all your debt. Then there is the important question of motive on the part of the 'saviour'. Additionally, if any karmic bonds still remain here, an inevitable return to resolve them must eventually take place.
What most people dont understand is that in general, and we are talking about many different kinds of visitors here, but in general, any interest in us is secondary to their interest in the living planet. They know she is a living being and they actually come here specifically to communicate with Her far more than they do with us! Its not that we are inconsequential - far from it - but that we are not the big boss around these parts that we think we are. Most civilisations capable of interplanar travel have this awareness. I believe it is a crucial step in the evolutionary ladder, so to speak. Without it, civilisations always collapse in on themselves.
