The "true meaning" of the word "Christian" is someone who is specifically
not a follower of Jesus.
Christian doctrine asserts the doctrine of a physical raising of a dead body from the grave, when Jesus taught the Doctrine of "resurrection" as a Doctrine of 'Rebirth'.
Christian doctrine is that there is a 'Trinity', that Jesus is 'God', that he died as a "vicarious atonement" for sins, that there is a 'Rapture', that he will return 'on a white horse out of the sky', etc.
None of these doctrines were taught by Jesus.
To believe the doctrines of Christianity is to specifically
deny the Teaching of Jesus, as expressed more clearly in the
Gospel of Thomas, the
Gospel of Mary, the
Apocalypse of Peter, and the
Treatise on Resurrection, found at Nag Hammadi Egypt.
