Thank you DiVineEnvy for that link on Do it Yourself. I was looking at various units priced from $40 to $250 and thought that it can't be that complicated. All of the units work on the same process as used for plating metal or removing plating from metal. That link you provided is the way to go. All the rest is just marketing.
It also reminds of those "foot baths" that suppose to remove toxins from your body. You sit there with your feet in the clear water. After a while the water turns to brown and then a very blackish-brown. When I learned the special box had steel plates with a current running through it, it became apparent that it color was only rust.
