Default Re: Dr. Charles Krauthammer -The Big Picture

First of all;
This is year 10 of the Bush/Obama administration.

If you don't get that, skip to the next post.

Both parties are busy about the exact same thing; more government. They only differ with how they will distribute your wealth, once they have it. In the end that matters not, as both parties are on a path that will take this country down.

Mind you, it is not intentional on either party's part (sorry, no "NWO devils" in this rant). It is simply that both parties are about a specific group holding on to power. And both parties are at least honest enough to admit to themselves that, for there to be power to grab, there must 1st be power to be grabbed.

That even power they do not control, now, must remain so that "their side" can go after, and grab it. "THEN we'll do some good!", they tell themselves. This delusion keeps both current parties going.

Krauthammer begins with some accurate estimates of Obama. Most of which were painfully obvious by mid-summer 2008, at the latest. Of course Obama is a two-faced, power-grubbing little weasel !! Krauthammer is just upset because he is not HIS two-faced, power-grubbing little weasel.
We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.
This has been the cry of "out of power" Republicans, my entire life. Neo-cons in particular. And not once have they ever held true to that statement, once in power!

For the record, I voted Republican in every National election sfrom 1974 to 2000, each time thinking, "this time, they'll keep their promise." Each time, just like the Democrats, they "fixed" nothing.
9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyperinflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity.
Naturally, you never heard him say that while GW Bush increased Federal spending by 60% during his administration.
  • Biggest increase in spending ever.
  • Spent more than ALL of the Democrat administrations back to, and including FDR, and that includes paying for WWII in it's entirety.
  • The biggest run on the rights of citizens in the nation's history.
You see, it's only when they're out of power they talk that way. When they get power... well then they've got power, and that needs using. The current Republican party is exactly the same as the Democrat: Statist to the core.
The "ruling parties" have come to a gentlemen's agreement: "You don't bleed the cow completely dry, and neither will we." Unfortunately, the weaker the cow becomes, the faster both sides try to get "their" share, and here we are.
I'm curious to know where he was at and what was his take when George Bush was in office?
Right behind him, cheering all the way. He'd be cheering still, if only Obama had registered Republican.

Oddly some people really have not heard the term "Statist" before. It is easily explained by this:
"Government's answer to every problem, even those they create, is always, more government."
