Right, turn down the volume. Hindu meditation groups and Transcendental Meditation assist one greatly at this stage of self-development.
Especially if one begins to play out a healing or teaching role, then the ego must be operating on a higher harmonic if at all. Gosh, even being a parent can bring one to egolessness
