why did Jephthah say such a stupid thing

and why did his daughter consent to be burnt as an offering to the Lord

sure we would all want God to step in and cancel this vow of Jephthah

but then again every body dies

it happens all the time whether we want it or not

and we leave in the light body

and come back again in the flesh

it is vanity to only pamper and cater to the physical body

one should strive to reach Ideals and participate in worthy causes even at the risk of one's own life
