what frightens me are the younger kids ... teens ... they are so media driven these days ... soak up everything they hear and see like sponges ... and take it to be truth ...

my two guys ... fifteen and sixteen ... are soundly grounded as we converse about this all the time ...

yet their friends ... i will hear conversations from them about 2012 ... all gloom and doom is how they receive it ... some have even said they believe we're all going to die and there's not a thing to do ... their fear is so great about all of this ...

and worse ... when i question them ... their parents are of the same fear ... why ... because "the media said so" ...
then i get asked ... "don't you watch the news?" ...


my boys know that i will interject when they have these conversations ... they sometimes cringe when i start but hey ... pretty much always we've had an enlightened conversation with their friends and when they leave i feel they are much more grounded as well ... the fear lessens within them ...

this generation is our future ... but their strength i feel is becoming gobbled up by media instilled fear ... they're turning into followers ... and their leaders they believe are tptb ... yikes ...

in their opinion ... tptb ... will always 'take care of them' ...

man ... sometimes i just wanna jump outta my skin when i think of all these kids fearing their future ...
