I lived off the grid, heated with wood, consumed spring water exclusively, a little over two months. In the winter we used candle light till we got sleepy. It was living in the raw, I tell ya. LOL

It was a calm cool collective experience. Quite wholesome and invigorating.

I'm in a new place now and don't have the woodburning stove yet. We're getting the well water connected to the house and I'll put in a woodstove before next winter arrives. Without modern conveniences you take on extra tasks during the day, especially as gardening season approaches...

That said, once these things are in place, I'll be going off grid again. Internet for me will amount to a visit to the library. Grin
