Freemasonry it seems to me has existed so long it now has it's
own society.
There are those who use it as a club or for connections and there
are others who believe in it's claim to be an ancient order decended from
Lemuria.
You read their academic works and they clearly have an excellent understanding
of 'known' world history and also an earlier history -Atlantis, Lemuria etc-
that is compelling.
A lot of the things that people on forums like this discuss in the internet age they've been talking about for centuries.
As far as Pike goes there was a major restructuring late nineteenth century
in which he and others played their part but the 300 year plan thing is based on that letter that's supposed to have been seen in the British museum by William Guy Carr. It's a tough one to be 100% on.
