If instead of looking at the planet as a seperate blob of mass, You view it as a living entity, then it's cycles and how it fits into the larger cyclic living galaxy needs to be kept in mind.
Then think of when and how a living entity will be most vunerable, most influenced .

The vast overwhelming majority of people will buy the picture of fear that has been painted, they will enmass demand actions of more control.
We on here are a tiny tiny proportion of the population, almost an irrelevance to those who organise these situations.
The trick will be in showing the picture in full to all, they have that ability now, they control the whole media.
it may need an enormous situation that overrides that grip of control, otherwise they will simply keep injecting into the earths field more and more of the same, with an occult adjenda.
