Health Care Passes Senate. Fight Not Over.

Although Harry Reid's health care bill passed early this morning
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1261...mostcommentart on a 60-39 party line vote, the fight to prevent government from taking over even more of our health care decisions is far from finished.
The reconciliation process comes next, which means we need to not only keep the pressure on Congress, but turn it up:
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/congress.php If you know of any events where your representatives or senators will be giving speeches during their time in their districts, make sure you show up and directly tell them what you think of their vote. They need to know this vote will follow them, and that people are serious about holding them accountable.
In addition to the fight over the upcoming bill merging, it appears that various states are looking into legal challenges, both on the basis of Ben Nelson's sweetheart deal as well as the unconstitutionality of the insurance mandate:

Not content to only stick it to us with the health care vote, the Senate also passed a $290 billion temporary raise of the debt ceiling. The money will last Congress through February.

TEXT: Top 5 reasons to kill the senate healthcare bill:
1. Forces you to pay up to 8% of your income for health insurance -- whether you want it or not (source)

2. Many of the taxes that will pay for the bill will start now, but the benefits won't start until 2014. How is that helpful? (source)
http://fdlaction.firedoglake.com/200...l-mandate-now/
3. Grants monopolies to drug companies to prevent generic versions of high tech drugs from coming to market. Not sure how that's going to lower costs... (source)

4. Under this bill, the cost of medical care will continue to RISE an average of 1000 a year for a family of four. (source)

5. The minor detail that it's not constitutional! Congress does not have the authority to enact this legislation, yet they don't seem to care. The people we have elected in both parties recognize no limitation on their power, and it's up to us - all of us - to stop this. (source)
