That's a very good question! It's been quite a long time...
... I know I had read Plato's account of Atlantis but I don't think I had read Cayce or any of the other early books on Atlantis. Once the visions started I became a little obsessed with learning whatever I could but back in the early 80's there wasn't much around yet. I'm glad that has changed and people are becoming more aware of the true history of humanity on this planet.
