many years ago ... i was in a motor vehicle accident ... the result living with constant and intense headaches ...
about a year later ... i became depressed ... all avenues taken were to no avail ... the headaches persisted and the quality of my life was deteriorating ...
a 'specialist' ... decided i needed to be placed on lithium ... at the time ... i would have tried anything ... and i trusted this person ... of their knowledge ...
within days ... i became manic ... was beside myself ... literally ... i felt to be someone else ... and the me i once knew ... had taken a back seat ...
i felt i was going to go off the deep end ...
i was only on it for a couple of weeks ... 'low dosage' i was informed ...
they then decided it was beneficial to take me off it ...
long story short ... simply 'getting off' lith was not so effortless ... had a horrible experience and later read that i was not alone with what occurred ...
imo ... first hand experience with lithium ...
