Incredible, isn't it? Some of my favorites:
1. "The Purple Pill" for indigestion (acid reflux) has a side effect of...... (wait for it)
Indigestion!
2. There is a diet pill, "guaranteed" to make you lose weight (I forget the name). It has an openly-stated side effect of causing
Lymphoma!
So I guess the idea is, you may die of cancer, but you'll leave an elegantly svelte corpse.
3. Chantrix (Just saw this yesterday) This one is to help you quit smoking in just 9 weeks. In the disclaimer they said that:
Chantrix helped
22% of those tested to quit within the 9 week period.
and...
Of those tested with a placebo, within the 9 wk. period,
18-20% stopped smoking within the same time. So...
Why not just market a placebo for $3/pill and save themselves, and us, a lot of wear and tear?
Oh! It also came with the usual,
"Stop taking Chantrix if you experience uncontrolled suicidal thoughts" warning.
I swear, they outa sell tickets! (I'd buy one)
