Gasoline (petrol) goes stale after a couple of months and can be why an engine that has not been going for a while won't start. The shelf life is even shorter since they took the lead out.
Diesel I don't know about so if anybody does know plaes post for all to see here.
i am currently looking for a diesel engine for my house bus. I'd love to have it jacked up to run on bio fuel /cooking oil etc... which I hope can be stored for a long time.
