This is not an off the top of my head response. After exposure to ETs and analytical and subjective approaches, my current "truth" is that the Old Testament Yahweh or Jehovah exhibits Reptilian philosophy of rulership.
The Jesus teachings that were not exorcised or changed in translation are from a different approach -- Messianic/Buddhic. If I recall my dates correctly, Buddhism was flourishing in the East and I see no reason for Jesus to not have been influenced by Buddha's humble and egalitarian approach.
However much I like and respect a being who is currently more evolved than I am, I always understand that there are no beings except the Unpotentiated Potential that we all are -- there are no beings that are not stuck in some traumatic incident.
I would be doing a disfavor to those more evolved beings if I did not respect that too, and any evolved being will be glad to tell you that he too is still ascending. It was wonderful that these beings told us that we too could ascend if we do the same work they did -- they gave us an idea and some tools that worked for them. No truly evolved being would prevent you from keeping your own counsel and upholding your own integrity.
I would say look to the tools they offer -- are they workable for you?
