I suggest that through the ages, Esoteric teachings have talked about the four dimensions in code (the masses were not remotely ready to discuss these kind of things, so the knowledge was transferred down through those who made themselves ready, initiates of mystery schools (yes some were not nice, but certainly some were very nice ~ Socrates and Plato were initiates for example, some suggest Jesus was an initiate at younger age)

An example of this going back to one of the first philosophers Heraclitus, who coined the term "LOGOS" which was used in the Book of John in the New Testament

is this quote:

"The death of fire is the birth of air, and the death of air is the birth of water."

It is well known that the ancients and many great philosophers wrote much of their work in code so that only those who were taught the inner meaning would truly grasp it. This really is similar to the New Testament, which is filled with layer upon layer of Truth for those who are willing to see past the outer word and seek the inner message.

In the quote from Heraclitus:

Fire is the 6th Dimension, identity realm, the first dimension in the material realm from which the Light from the spiritual realms (the 5th Element ~ Ether) flows.

The bottom of the 6th (death of fire) is the beginning of the 5th (Air ~ mental realm)

The bottom of the 5th, which is mental realm, (death of Air), is the birth / begining of the 4th (Water ~ Astral realm)

The quote could have gone further, the death of Water is the birth of Earth ~ Bottom of the 4th is the begining of the 3rd ~ but it does not mention this. One possibility is because the 4th at it's lowest levels is actually vibrating much SLOWER than the 3rd, the Astral is not a place for anyone to go visit ~ land of illusion and the hell realms are / were found in the lower levels of the Astral ~ so it is not entirely to say the end of the astral is the birth of the 3rd (earth realm) because the third is actually vibrating faster than the Astral so it is more an output of higher energies.

While it is not a definite fact Heraclitus was speaking of these dimensions with this quote, I suggest it was certainly a possibility and I also suggest researchers of esoteric material will find these elements mentioned with the meanings of dimensions (although there are always more layers)...
