I recently was re- watching a Camelot interview from a year and a half ago. This whisleblower stated back than the U.S. wanted Afganistan because, it was all about a PIPELINE through the region. John Lear to be exact. I find it interesrng to re watch old whistleblowers because you get to see who is on the money.
