I can relate to this. I have asked myself the same question.
Ignorance is bliss, right? At least until something happens that
you cannot deny, and then the shock is that much greater
vs the gradual awakening.
We are doing the right thing by opening our minds and
attempting to inform ourselves. From this we are growing
and evolving, which helps to remember when we experience
pain during this process.
I just received The Sleeping Abductees. Secrets of Amenti
is on the way. I just have to finish Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life" first,
and then I can start on Voyagers. I hope they aren't too high level.
