I think you are right! And you know why the humanity arrived in such state that is not believing anything, even to it's own eyes? Because of too much lying and spreading of misinformation. There is so much of this, nowadays, that the human mind is shutting down in a denial and catalogues everything as a lie and disinfo. But you cannot blame on the people, but onto those that are spreading lies and disinformation willingly (because they are advancing an agenda) and unwillingly (because they are not doing the slightest effort to check, whatever they are re-transmitting to us) . As many people may say "these are my 5 cents/pennies/etc" related with this issue.
