The story seems like a fake one to me, however, consider this, if we find pictures that look more like earth, we cry "HOAX" because it looks too similar to earth. If we find pictures that looks to different from earth, we also cry "HOAX" because they are too far out there, it must be some CGI. Therefore pictures are too difficult to be convincing to most of us. What will convince us is an alien coming to slap us in the face at our own house, even then we still think "I was just dreaming, that could not be real" In the end, those that believe will believe and those that don't will find other reasons to dismiss.
