Energy vampires where just a theory to me until I tested it. At work and sitting at my desk I imagined vital energy leaving this one person and coming to me. A few minutes later I got up and walked by her desk and she looked ghastly, all gray and pale. I felt real bad about it and went back to my desk and sent her energy back to her with a little extra. A few mintes after that I walked by her again and her color was back. I don't think she was aware of it. I vowed I would never do such a thing again.

I learned from that and always try to remember to keep my shield on full force when needed.
